HORSE (Mixed Games)
HORSE is one of the popular mixed game variants; it’s a combination of poker games:
- Texas Hold'em
- Omaha Hi/Lo
- Razz (Seven-card Stud Low)
- Stud (Seven-card Stud Hi)
- Eight-or-better (Seven-card Stud Hi/Lo)
HORSE is played as one "round" of each of its component games with changing the games every 10 hands. All the component games in HORSE are played in fixed limit - there are no pot-limit or no-limit games.
It begins with limit Hold'em, then limit Omaha Hi/Low, Razz (Seven-Card Stud Low), Seven-Card Stud, and finally Seven-card Stud Hi/Lo. When the Seven-card Stud Hi/Lo round is complete, the game goes back to limit Hold'em, and so on. The top border of poker table will tell you which game is being dealt at the moment.
